On the morning of July 21, volunteers led LSA SMILE CAMP at West Pearland Library. During the event, the volunteers worked together with more than a dozen friends with special needs to create a variety of colorful balloon animals, flowers, swords, and other fun balloon creations.
The room was filled with laughter and excitement as everyone enjoyed making balloons, chatting, and sharing smiles. The volunteers patiently assisted participants, encouraged their creativity, and celebrated each finished balloon creation together. Through these simple but meaningful interactions, they helped create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where everyone felt valued and supported.
This enjoyable activity not only brought happiness to the special needs participants but also gave the volunteers an opportunity to build friendships, practice compassion, and experience the joy of serving the community.
Volunteers(2 hrs): Roy Zheng, Gloria Zhang, Sean Liu, Jordana Zhao, Dwayne Li-Williams, Yushan Qiu, Brian Zhang, Grace Wu, Jiarui Cui, Junxi Zhang, Patrick Czader, Eddie Fu
