STEM n Tech: Community Robotics Class (#46) on July 6th, 2026

On July 6th 2026, the three volunteers — Junxi Ding, Ethan Gao, and Chenyu Jin — set out by providing a challenge for the class to undertake — a maze challenge, where the students, split into three teams, had to construct a robot that could traverse smoothly the entire maze’s length, navigating through the help of the color sensor — which is used to detect walls, and optionally, shortcuts. The instructors guided the teams and stopped the project from veering off topic. In the end, two teams managed to successfully conquer the maze, although with tremendous help on the coding aspect of the robot-building.
