On July 29, 2025, during the last class for 2025 summer, our dedicated volunteers worked closely with students to help them understand and complete the coding necessary for operating robotic arms. With guidance and encouragement, students successfully programmed their robots to perform a challenging task—picking up and stacking blocks using a mechanical arm.
The hands-on activity was not only engaging but also encouraged critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. Each student team competed to see how many blocks their robotic arm could grab and stack within the time limit. The highest score of the day was an impressive 31 blocks, showcasing the students’ growing confidence and technical skills.
Volunteers provided one-on-one support to ensure each participant could complete their code, troubleshoot issues, and fine-tune their robot for better performance. The room was filled with excitement, cheering, and a great sense of accomplishment as students saw their robots come to life.
This workshop was a fun and inspiring experience that sparked curiosity and interest in STEM, and we’re proud of both our young innovators and the volunteers who made it all possible!
At the end the certificates and awards have been handed out to all the students by the volunteers! They are so excited, and can not wait for next summer…
