On October 5, our organization hosted an educational webinar titled “The Path to Medical School.” The event featured two medical students from the McGovern Medical School Asian Pacific American Medical Students Association (APAMSA), who shared their academic journeys from high school to medical school.
Through personal stories and firsthand experiences, the speakers offered valuable insights and practical advice for students aspiring to enter the medical field. They discussed topics such as course planning, extracurricular preparation, and the medical school application process, while also addressing participants’ questions during an engaging Q&A session.
The webinar attracted approximately 50 attendees, including students and parents. Feedback following the event was overwhelmingly positive—many participants expressed that they gained meaningful knowledge and inspiration. There was strong interest in organizing similar sessions in the future, inviting more speakers from diverse professional backgrounds to share their experiences and guidance.
The webinar was organized and hosted by Junxi Zhang, who coordinated the event by collecting topics of interest from participants in advance, communicating with the speakers, and facilitating the live session.
