City and Neighbor Support: Volunteers Support Community Garden Project (Day 1) November 8, 2025

On Saturday, November 8th, volunteers joined Boy Scout Troop to kick off the Community Garden Project. This marked the first day of an ongoing effort to create and improve a green space for the local community.

The day began early as volunteers arrived prepared with tools, gloves, and plenty of enthusiasm. Working alongside the Boy Scouts, we helped lay the foundation for the garden. Their tasks included digging, loosening, and moving soil to shape the garden beds — labor-intensive work that required teamwork, coordination, and determination. Despite the physical demands, everyone stayed positive and encouraged one another throughout the day.

This hands-on experience gave the volunteers the opportunity to learn more about gardening, collaboration, and community service, while also strengthening their appreciation for environmental stewardship and teamwork.
