Achieve together: Pearland Branch Community Science class#2 08/02/2026

On Sunday, August 2, 2026, our volunteers hosted the 2nd science introduction class of the summer science class series.  The topic of today’s class is Acids and Bases. The series of the science classes are offered completely free to the elementary-age children in the Pearland community.

A total of 10 students joined this class. Our young scientists had an amazing time exploring the fascinating world of acids and bases through fun, hands-on experiments! The class started with introduction of definitions and concepts, followed by demonstration and then the hands-on experiments. The children were excited to observe colorful chemical reactions, eagerly made predictions, asked thoughtful questions, and celebrated each discovery with smiles and laughter.

At the end of the class, several parents expressed their interests for future science classes and their appreciation for events our volunteers hosted throughout the summer. Seeing the children’s excitement has also inspired our youth volunteers to continue offering more engaging science classes and learning opportunities for the kids in our community.
