Achieve Together: Pearland Branch Community Chess Class (#77) on August 10, 2025

On Sunday August 10, 2025, Joshua Meng, Brendon Jiang, and Alicia Zhang hosted the final Pearland Branch volunteer chess lesson and party. After eating pizza and cookie cake, the students used their opportunity to play against others in a tournament setting, learning what can go and what can’t go. The top 3 were given trophies, memorializing their victory. Afterwards, the students had the chance to play against fellow peers for fun with games such as bughouse and antichess.

AYLUS Pearland provided an opportunity to the community to learn about the wonders of chess, while still having fun, allowing them to practice concepts that they have learned, gain knowledge, and improve their overall gameplay.
